Self-sacrifice fest picks ‘Secure Embrace’ music video

Self-sacrifice Film Festival in Iran chooses ‘Secure Embrace’ with a theme on martyrs’ families as best music video.

Self-sacrifice Film Festival in Iran has tapped ‘Secure Embrace’ with a theme on martyrs’ families as best music video.

Second edition of Self-sacrifice Film Festival recently announced as best the music video ‘Secure Embrace’ which is themed on family members of martyrs with a special focus on Iranian divers who were killed during Iraq-Iran war with their hands tied.

Co-directed by Mohammad-Mehdi Fekrian and Ali Tadi, the impressive work features a song performed by famed Iran singer Reza Sadeqi in tribute to these martyr divers.

The lyrics to the song partly read,

"I was told your flower was washed out to sea,

You’re lonely now, for someone who risks the sea cannot be found that easy

I was told your flower was washed out to sea,

No one knows the whereabouts and you must wait until the sea brings back the plucked petals of him

Now they say you were buried alive with your hands tied,

You'll never know what I went through, I got ruined with the news

I'm teemed with words and sorrow, but my embrace is still secure."

Self-sacrifice (Isar) Film Festival aimed at promoting religious and positive values ran the latest edition of the event in July 2018.
